Muni provides its riders with a variety of ways to access transit information, including print schedules and route maps, mobile apps, and online services. In this article, we will show you how to login to Muni’s self service portal using your employee ID and password.
What is Muni Self Service?
Muni Self Service is a new way to use Muni transit without needing to go through a faregate. To use Muni self service, you need to have an account and be registered for the MyMuni app. After registering for the MyMuni app, you will be able to login using your unique username and password. Here are some steps on how to login using Muni self service:
Step 1: Launch the MyMuni app on your phone or computer. If you don’t have the MyMuni app, download it from the App Store or Google Play store.
Step 2: Once you have opened the MyMuni app, sign in using your username and password. If you don’t have a username or password, please refer to our instructions on how to register for Muni self service.
Step 3: After you have logged in, click on Transit at the top of the menu screen. You will see a list of all of your active transit lines (including buses and trains). Click on your line name to open up the transit information page for that line.

If you are having trouble logging in to Muni self service, follow these steps:
- Enter your 5-digit passcode if you have one.
- If you do not have a passcode, click the “Forgot Your Password?” link on the login screen. You will be prompted to enter your name and email address. After logging in, you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.
